A little about me:

I am a multidisciplinary visual designer and artist with more than a decade and a half professional experience in the graphic design field after earning a BFA in Graphic Design from California College of the Arts. I have nudged pixels and kerned letters at a digital type foundry, worked in digital marketing for a variety of small eco-friendly businesses, designed for print, screen, and apparel, as well as finessing brand identity and design, most recently at Courage Co. Design in Santa Rosa, CA.

I have two beautiful kids who love to draw, going to the beach, taking walks, cats, LEGOS and Minecraft. They are a huge factor in my decision to transition into art education. I dipped my toes into teaching as the pandemic shutdown my son’s preschool, and I found myself drawn more and more down that path until I finally pursued my teaching credential through Sonoma State University. I have found that the skillset that I have curated over the years, including creative problem-solving, planning, critical thinking, research, and communication, is an almost perfect match to the skillset required by teachers.

In my spare time I am a Tabaxi Arcane Rogue and occasionally a Tiefling Sorcerer in two separate D&D campaigns. My hobbies also include making cardboard masks for my kids, beading, collecting multi-sided. dice, hip-hop, watching anything Jane Austen derived,
